NATO orders end to co-operation with Russia

NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) foreign ministers ordered an end to civilian and military co-operation with Russia.

NATO even told their generals and admirals to quickly figure out ways to protect alliance members that feel threatened by Russia.

28 members NATO alliance was reacting after Russian’s unilateral annexation of Ukraine’s Crimea Peninsula leading to serious crises. NATO alliance, along with US, condemned Russian annexation as illegal.

NATO already has stepped up air patrols over Baltic Sea and AWACS surveillance flights over Poland and Romania to reassure alliance members sharing borders with Russia.
