Google on Wednesday (October 4) launched Artificial Intelligence based Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones, to take on the Apple’s and Samsung’s.
Google also launched smaller smart speaker “Home Mini”, a larger version called “Home Max”, high-performance convertible Chromebook called PixelBook and “Google Clips” action camera.
The Google smartphones will arrive in India in November, though pre-orders will begin this month.
Google Pixel 2 and 2 XL price in India and release dates were announced soon after the global unveiling of the handsets ended.
India will be among the first wave of markets getting the new smartphones.
While the smartphones will be available from over 1,000 offline stores in the country, they will be exclusively available online via Flipkart.
The Pixel 2 price in India is Rs. 61,000 for the 64GB model, while the 128GB variant costs Rs. 70,000.
Similarly, the Pixel 2 XL price in India for the 64GB and 128GB storage options are Rs. 73,000 and Rs. 82,000, respectively.
India pre-orders for the smartphones start from October 26.
Google Home Mini is a small smart speaker which can pair with another wireless smart speaker, designed to get the Google Assistant throughout your house.
Google Home Max, a large smart speaker, aimed squarely at competing products from Apple and Sonos.
Google Clips is an always-on camera for shooting your pets and sprogs, with on-device AI picking the best time to take a picture while still ensuring your privacy.
Pixelbook, a slender hybrid tablet/laptop/phone, will run Chrome OS and offer Google Assistant on the desktop.
