According to the latest study being conducted today by means of EU-mandated, Seven of the Indian companies are among the list of those 20 countries which were being used by the ISIS for their own intentions for making explosives. It is being suggesting that much of the work needs to be done concerning the flow of various hazardous chemicals to different outer regions. This flow of hazardous chemicals can potentially flow to the terror groups.
The study which was being conducted by the Conflict Armament Research (CAR) is showing that 51 companies from the 20 countries which includes Turkey, India, Brazil and even the US is being selling and receiving about 700 components which is being used by ISIS. ISIS is being using this components to build improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
Turkey is being leading with a large list of companies which is about 13 which is being directly or indirectly supporting the ISIS. Turkey is being followed up by the India with seven companies. The study took almost 20 months to find out this statistics. Seven of the Indian companies is being manufacturing most amount of detonators, detonating cords and even the safety fuses. As the export of these materials requires licence, but the export is being taking place illegally without the proper government issued licences for the entry from India to Lebanon and even Turkey, says CAR.
According to the report being generated after the study, the terror group is being utilizing the mobile device like Nokia 105 for initiating the detonation of the Bombs remotely. Adding to the same it is also pinpointing the countries like Brazil, Romania, Russia, the Netherlands, China, Switzerland, Austria and even Czech Republic’s companies are also being suspected to be involved.
Initiatives to be done by Goverment
The study is being mainly focusing on the issue that government really needs to be working really hard on this side to prevent such exporting of the chemicals outside the countries.
CAR’s Executive Director commenting over the issue says that these findings are being greatly supporting to raise the international awareness that the groups being located in the Iraq and even Syria are capable of self-sustaining by acquiring the things of their needs like weapons and strategic goods, such as IED components from local areas and very easily.
CAR further adding says that it has got access to these components by means of partners which includes US-backed Kurdish YPG in Syria, the Iraqi federal police, the Kurdistan region security council and also includes the forces from the Kurdistan Regional Goverment. These components are being seized during the occurrences of the battles in the towns of Iraq at Rabia, Kirkuk, Mosul and Tikrit and even Syrian Town of Kobani.
