The households of British Royal family members, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince Harry are seeking a full-time senior communications officer.
The royal trio posted a job vacancy on LinkedIn and the palace’s official website, detailing the role requirements
According to the job post, the role is to “manage the daily news flow to the media, ensuring items are accurately and positively reported and received by audiences via traditional, digital and social media”.
“We require a Senior Communications Officer to support the work of TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and HRH Prince Henry of Wales, with a particular focus on the activity of their Royal Foundation. This role will work both reactively and proactively to manage the daily news flow to the media, ensuring items are accurately and positively reported and received by audiences via traditional, digital and social media,” the post read.
The successful candidate will also need to produce creative communications campaigns, write press releases, give press briefings and respond to media inquiries on behalf of the royal family.
More importantly, the candidate will “play a key role in the development and implementation of the communications strategy for The Royal Foundation,” working alongside both the Foundation’s CEO and communications secretary.
Based at Kensington Palace itself for 37.5 hours per week, the role requires someone with the “ability to make decisions, using integrity and judgment whilst exercising caution”.
The position is a mid-senior level full-time job based in London.
The chosen candidate will also be required to conduct research for special projects, participate in “strategic discussions,” as well as provide support to the overall communications team.
