Google has introduced one single app for food-delivery and home services, named Areo, currently live in Bengaluru and Mumbai on Android devices.
“Areo lets users search for local restaurants and home services like electricians, plumbers, and painters, and schedule their deliveries or appointments through the app,” the company said in its Google Play store.
The app also provides customer reviews of the available companies, eateries to help you make informed choices from product quality to timeliness of service.
Areo is the latest entrant in the delivery niche. The space is currently filled with the likes of food-focused Seamless, GrubHub, and UberEats.
It’s not Google’s first entry into scheduling food-delivery — back in 2015, the company added an option to request takeout via delivery apps when searching for nearby restaurants.
Between these ever-expanding options and some recent experiments with delivery by semi-autonomous robots, never leaving your couch will only get easier.
On Areo, users can add items from multiple providers into the same cart.
The app has pay by card, net banking or cash on delivery services.
